Hi, My 2002 Boxster s thinks that the passenger door is permenantly open so when you shut it, the window does not go up the couple of inches to make a seal with the hood. This also keeps the interior lights on. If I alarm it then the window will go up and it is fine. Do you have any ideas what this could be?

This is a very common failure - the problem most often lies in the microswitches in the door lock mechanism. Check out the article I have on replacing this here: http://www.pelicanparts.com/techarticles/Boxster_Tech/78-BODY-Door_Handle_and_Lock/78-BODY-Door_Handle_and_Lock.htm
I also had a car that had the wires pinched when we put the door panel back on - it had the same effect - negating the action of the microswitches. So you might want to check that first. - Wayne
