Engine Rebuild Manual or Specs?
I am looking for resources for the specs / rebuild process for the 2003 (3-chain, single row bearing) 2.7L Boxster engine that I inherited from my mother-in-law. Torque specs and rod bearing / main bearing specs would be greatly appreciated. Also cam timing specs for the reset of the cam timing.
I will be sending my IMS shaft out to be checked / pinned and will be going with an aftermarket bearing upon reinstall. SO far, the rod bearings look pretty good and I am currently debating even changing them as this engine only has 25k miles of life on it now. Thank You, Patrick Harris

There's not much out there info-wise just yet - the best bet is the factory manuals (which don't say a whole lot). I have found that the 996 manuals are much better than the Boxster ones.
As for the cam timing, it's not the same as on the 911 - you just set the timing tools in place and line up the chains and you're good to go. -Wayne

Both Mitchell and Alldata have online access for your car purchase for a year I think it is around $20 . It should have everything you are looking for, I like Alldata better but that's just a personal decision.
