OBD2 android apps for Boxster

Has anyone used one of these new apps like "Torque" and a blutooth connector on their Boxsters? I'm planning to plug in when I get a chance and wondering if it's worth the trouble. It's already proven useful on my Olds that has a CEL for the gas cap. Cleared it with one click!

Also, is the cam timing part of OBD2 or a separate thing? I'm wondering if this setup would let me check that. I know Durametric would handle it but this would be something I already have.

Thanks!
Brian

I have the wifi version, with the Palmer dash command app.
Didn't try it yet, but one thing for sure, it's not gonna show cam deviation.

To read the cam timing, you need either the Durametric software, or a PIWIS, no phone "app" is even remotely as capable..............
