radio code please read

i have my radio code for the radio in my 99 boxster. i have unhooked the battery before and when reconnected the code works fine at resetting. this time now the correct code will not reset the radio. i have the correct code, thats not the problem. radio will not except the correct code. anyone have any ideas.

radio code

yes i get the wait message after imputing the correct code three times. what i don't understand is that i have the correct code, i have used it numerous times before and it has worked. now the radio will not except the correct code.

Try to cycle the key on and off and see if the wait light goes off. If not you will have to drive the vehicle for and at least an hour or so with out turning the key to the off position. I am not sure if you just leave the key on for an hour with out driving if that would work. Even though the code worked for you before extract the code from the radio by turning the unit on and pushing the TP key down for at least ten seconds you will here a beep and the name Becker 1 will appear. Release the button and turn the right hand knob an the serial number will show then the radio code # will appear something like this 23/43 see if it is the same code you have. Even though somebody could program a different code in the DME just try it any way if it does not work then use your code again. Write down the serial # while you extract the codes.

Mine took about 40 minutes of driving to come on after punching in the correct code when I first bought the car. It was a pleasant surprise as I thought the radio was dead!
