Brake light and front marker light codes

Hi Guys,

I have a 2006 Boxster S. I keep getting codes for the brake lights and front marker lights. These codes are intermittent and the corresponding light does not work while the code is displayed. I have tried replacing the bulbs and they don't look blown. The light works when the code is not displayed and never both sides at the same time. Right now I have a code for the R brake light and the R front marker light. I left the top down about 2 mths ago and the car got soaked to the point the seats were ruined and the carpet had to be taken up. Is there a chance some kind of module may have gotten wet and is now showing the signs? Also like I said the seats and the carpet were taken out. Any chance the wires for theses lights run under the carpet and were pinched on reinstall? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

The module under the drivers seat is the "rear control module", it controls the spoiler/lights/some top functions iirc, District can code this module should you need to replace it, id pull it and open it up, check for any burnt traces etc. ..
