How do you remove the crankshaft position sensor on a 2002 986 Boxster S Tiptronic. Every DIY I've seen is for manual transmissions where you can get to the screw holding in the sensor via the wheel well with an extension. On a Tiptronic there are transmission hoses/pipes blocking the sensor. Is there another way? Thanks.

You should be able to access the connector. Then for the fastener, use a longer Allen bit with ball-head to remove it. Then pull sensor out and install new. In piping is still in you way, you can remove the pipe mounting fasteners and try to move them slightly.
