Boxster 3.2 2000
In a short space of time it is almost impossible to put into reverse. and now 1 and 2 and getting harder to engage. The pedal is getting sticky. My mechanic is going to have a look and thinks its a clutch fluid leak. the car has 65k on the clock. Whilst it is in the shop, is it worth getting the master and slave replaced irrespective of being faulty...? __________________ This post was auto-generated based upon a question asked on our tech article page here: Porsche Boxster Clutch Hydraulics Overhaul (Master Cylinder & Slave Cylinder Replacement) - 986 / 987 (1997-08) - Pelican Parts Technical Article |

if the hydraulic system is at fault, I would replace the master and slave as a set.

If a hydraulic issue it would generally be the slave bypassing. No need to replace a good master if it is still serviceable. Your shop should determine where the issue lies before they replace any parts.
It could also be a failing pressure plate which is not uncommon. Cheers
