Question on Oil Change

Need help!Changed my motor oil and filter about 3 months ago and the car was making a noise while cold.the oil filter was bended in half.After the oil changed and new filter the noise stoped and showed up again after the 3 months.This week I changed the oil/filter again and filter was damaged again.After the oil changed the noise stoped again and the car is running great.Damaged filter=noise ???
