Hi I had a clutch fitted two month ago I was driving and my gear stick shot to left when I was putting it in first really easily. I pulled to side of the road and could put car in reverse but the car went forward instead. Would this be caused by broken cable? Also I've read you can reattach them if they have come loose at side of the road but I can't see them. Will I have to take the air filter box out? Thanks

The cable may have popped off. Check the connection at the transmission.
