Will the shifter cable rattle where it connects to the stick? I am getting a avery annoying rattle and it only happens in 2nd and 4th gears, or at idle in neutral, and I can replicate the rattle by jiggling the shifter. It sounds like it is coming from right below the shifter. Sounds like a nut is loose and a waters is rattling around.

I don't believe I have ever seen that. If you pinpointed the area of the rattle, your best bet is to physically inspect the area.
