Question on Crankshaft Pulley Replacement

I just did this repair on a 2003 Mini. I purchased an aftermarket pulley which looked just like the OEM. I had to use the puller to remove the old one but the new one I was able to pretty much press onto the shaft by hand. Maybe the pulley was bored incorrectly? Im only concerned now because with that done and a new belt I have a high pitch squeal which sounds like a belt, but now makes me worry that the crankshaft is slipping inside of the pulley.
