Exact same problem as David. Top left bolt in battery tray rusted and spinning, any help other than cutting plastic surrounding it would be greatly appreciated.

Sometimes I apply upward pressure when loosening. This can jam the loose nut below in place enough to loosen it. If not, you'll have to cut or break it.
