Le Creuset warranty....I'm REALLY impressed!

We've had a 30 cm Le Creuset Forged Non-Stick pan for some 9 years now. It's been our go-to frying pan for pretty much anything. IT HAS NOT BEEN WELL TREATED to say the least! Yes, we've used metal utensils on it, high heat, and it's been stacked in the drawer with all kinds of other metal pans coming into contact with the non-stick surface. Well finally the thing gave up it's non-stick quality...oh, well...time for a new one!

At The Bay store here in Calgary my wife picks out a new one and heads to the counter. She just happens to mention what happened to our old pan and the clerk steps in and tells her to go online at lecreuset.ca and to file a warranty claim because they'll most likely send you a new one..WHAT?

So I did that and sent them three pics of the pan in question. I then printed off their free return label, stuffed the old pan in a box and sent it off. Well H O L L Y S H I T!!! Two weeks later, no questions asked, I get a BRAND NEW PAN!

Le Creuset....I'm very impressed!

One of my Cuisinart pots blistered on the bottom surface.
Sent an email, they asked for photos of the damage and the set and then sent me a new pot.

The thing is that it clearly states on the warranty coverage...
"What does this warranty not cover?
damage caused by normal wear and tear, accident, misuse, abuse or commercial use, scratches from knives and sharp utensils, etc......."

The pic I sent them showed how so badly hacked up the surface was. It clearly had abrassive marks probably from some idiot using a knife on it...

I was so impressed that I told my wife that from now on we are maybe spending a bit more but only buying Le Creuset for kitchen supplies!

Marmot jackets. Same story, a little pricey, but when a zipper went bad on my jacket I sent it to them and they replaced the broken zipper and one that they said was on its way out. The jacket was at least 10 years old.

I can't tell you how many times I've sent sunglasses in for repair, from lens to nose clips to temples, I've broken them all and they always fix them for 10.00
