I have to say, I'm pretty darned impressed with the new Mustangs and, even more so, with Ford's new attitude towards them. It's nice to see an engineering team being allowed to have some fun and show off a bit. That doesn't happen all that often in uptight corporate America.

Ugh, who cares? Anyone ever accused you of being a narcissist Paul? In six months they’ll be selling at a discount. I like the new Mustangs but the Bullitt is nothing special. Just like the old ones are nothing special. When the GT350 gets cheap on the used market I’ll give it a serious look.

That's what I'm waiting for...maybe. Bought my '09 Bullitt as the '10's were arriving for a nice discount.

But then again, the '09 has given me 28,000 trouble free miles. So, I dunno...at age 74 now, why bother?

Detroit Pony cars, the right ones anyway, can easily keep up with European Iron costing much more..

With a last name like Kelly, green is my favorite color, and while I like all the amenities on the Bullitt, The only reason I would ever own one is for the color....I really don't care about the movie, the history, or the desire to have a low production number car.

A Coyote powered Mustang will be my next daily driver when my 04 40th anniversary Edition, triple black convertible no longer thrills me.

BTW, I agree with Matt..a Bullitt Mustang isn't special in a collector car sense. If you can pick which new cars will be "special" in the future, you have a much better crystal ball than I. Since I've made 74+ trips around the sun, that doesn't concern me much.

But few cars are "special". What is a Bullitt? A Mustang with a unique equipment package and a unique color. Also a hell of a fun driver. I suppose that'll never be enough for a distinguished car expert like Matt.

I think Chevrolet is having just as much fun; all the new iterations of the Camaro, and the Corvette with all of it's new manifestations are just as impressive as what Ford is rolling out with the Mustang. It seems like the engineers are in cahoots with the beancounters and it's all about the fastest and the quickest. They're halo cars and everyone knows it, but its fun to witness this new generation of American sports cars.

(And I'm still marveling that Dodge has a car that anyone can buy right off the showroom that can lift it's front wheels from a standing start).

Agreed on all points. We are truly living in the best of times, American pony car wise.

I just did an SCCA "Track Night in America" last Thursday. In attendance were a couple of GT350's and the new Camero (ZL1?). Awesome cars.

Where did you do it? I think the TNiA format is just about perfect for my track needs!

Paul, if you want to participate in this community you should really consider that there are people on here outside of yourself. The intention of a BBS isn't to simply post the same things about yourself over and over, but to actually participate in conversations with other people. If you did so, you'd realize that I have owned far more Mustangs than you have, including multiple GT500 and Roush cars, some of which I've posted about quite enjoying. I know you like to paint all Porsche owners as car snobs since you seem to have an inferiority complex after selling yours, but you're fighting a battle against an invisible enemy.

This last one was at The Ridge Motorsports Park in Shelton, WA. They are also held at Pacific Raceways, near Auburn, WA.

I agree that they are just about the perfect format for me as well. Pretty informal, without a lot of needless rules about every little thing. Pretty good mix of cars as well.
