Thanks for dropping by and for the update, Art.

Always enjoyed your posts.

Nice pic too!

On the subject of leaving talk forums...I left one last week that I had been a member of since '08 with over 11K posts. I won't say which one - it doesn't really matter. But basically was really tired of some of the knucklehead posts and even worse the moderators just let a bunch of stuff happen without getting a handle on it. It was an embarassment for me to even be associated with (what I considered anyway) stupidity.

I've been thinking about cutting back on Internet time anyway so it worked out for me as a win-win.

I thought I was a pretty decent contributor though - but after a while you just get sick of it.

Different situation here entirely - much value and not the stupid stuff.

Nice to see some familiar names here. True: you wonder where people "went" ...
...I am still around. So many have helped me out, of a wrenching situation... in ways they will never know. Hope to return the favor someday.

Member who has passed...RoninLB...of big ride fame. When the phone rings, I remember answering and hearing a NY accent: "Paul, this is Ron. I'm in Orygone now, are you set up for an oil change?"

Damn, I'd like to do it again...RIP my friend.

Art has been a great help to me with some medical issues in the past - golden...not the parachute kind.

Thanks, Art, be well.

OK, but he's still a PH.

IIRC the Z-man first coined the phrase "poopy-head" as it related to moderators. Tongue in cheek of course, but we latched on and won't let go.

EDIT: not sure but I suspect this thread might have started the whole thing, kinda funny:

AOL had a good community message board 20-25 years ago. There were fewer people involved and we were closer. Funny thing is we had the same personality types there that we have here.

Agree: He put the P in H.

Art, a great name btw, don't be a stranger and it is good to hear how well the kids are doing.
