This is a great thread, we should keep it going.

My latest: why does she make 6 pies for Christmas, when there is only 5 of us?

I certainly get sick of this "Everything is a crisis" thing she has going. If it's anything other than a day at the office it's meltdown time. And if I don't sympathise and have a fellow meltdown, I become the enemy. I explain that if it's THAT bad get a lawyer involved, but I get told I'm so aggressive and heavy handed.

Like my friend Henry said "I think I'll be gay in my next life, I can't stand all this constant drama."

Another one.

Many years ago she said she was going to wash her car and did I want the Porsche washed. I said "Yes, thanks. But be careful not to drag the hose over the car as sand sticks to the hose and scratches the paint."

The car parking area is just sand. I came out five minutes later and there she was with the wet hose dragged over the car washing the other side. With her limited attention span all she could bear to listen to was the "yes" part of the sentence. So I had big scratches all over a previously perfect paint job.

My husband would be thrilled to have the selection.

By the way: I have laughed all the way through this thread.

Man, I can't relate to this thread. When I met my future wife and found out she owned and drove a manual, I knew she was a keeper.

That's about the point where you are supposed to say "thank you mam, may I have another"

I plan everything in advance. I mean everything. Drives me up the freaking wall when things are sprung on me at the last minute.

Or, "I told you yesterday". Yeah, but you left out the part where it resulted in a hospital visit, frikken surgery, and weeks of recovery. Those little details are sort of - I wanna say - IMPORTANT.

YOU did that to YOUR Porsche.
YOUR fault !!

The correct answer , when she asked was

"Was just thinking of washing the Porsche myself, i'll wash yours too, you just have a lie down"

I was OK with the pies at Christmas dinner, even when she brought over a whole leftover sweet potato pie for New Years. It was the leftover key lime, and the chocolate, and the coconut cream that she brought over the next week that did me in.

Half of them went into the trash when she wasn't around.

You guys had me laughing with this while its mostly true and my wife is no exception. I am the one who's a bit late to leave because I am waiting and have the computer on or checking on "stuff". She owned a stick shift car, great with directions and a great and very snappy driver. Leave the car in 9 seconds. Now, all other siht....

This got me thinking, do women act the same way in foreign countries? I am talking about more traditional countries or more male dominated places like some Asian, middle east, S America or even deep in Mexico or....?
