There's a brew pub in Cbus with a strong name. Hoof Hearted

I poked around a bit with both Brave and Vivaldi. I really liked a feature of Vivaldi where you could specify which search to use by using a nickname. IE, if you want to search google for something you type "something g". If you want to search bing for something you type "something b". And the "g" or "b" is configurable.

I didn't use Vivaldi long, but when I switched back to Firefox, I kept trying to use the nicknames.

This is the one I use... heard about it on the radio several years ago... same as duckduck, it shelters you from data mining... (see "How we protect you" at bottom of start page, read through it, then select "set as default' at the end):

I was always wondering why Microsoft allows DDG to piggyback and recently saw the answer:

Why You Should Avoid DuckDuckGo (DDG) 2021 Edition, Now Microsoft-Hosted and With Extra Privacy Risks | Techrights
DDG’s third violation (2021): Microsoft hosts DDG’s service and
also supplies Bing search results for the same
transaction. This means Microsoft sees both sides of the
transaction and can link your IP address (i.e. identity) to
your search query that Bing processes.

I also use WaterFox, because FireFox requires Google script to display PP properly. Not sure why. Should be the same core program.
They are also owned by a data company:

https://avoidthehack.com/review-waterfox-browser
Waterfox was acquired by System1 in December 2019. System1 is an advertising company that takes a "privacy-focused" position in what it does. As noted previously, it is also the same company that purchased private search engine, Startpage (ext), sometime in Q4 of 2018.

This phone started out advertising encryption privacy etc, but they are based in San Francisco:

https://puri.sm/products/librem-5/
The Librem 5 is a phone built on PureOS, a fully free, ethical and open-source operating system that is not based on Android or iOS.

Truth! I use it and a VPN on all my devices, and recommend the same to all my friends and family. I am sure people thought Google and Amazon were weird too..
