I just buy nice shoes and drive what ever I want. I don't even try to pick up pupu in the 911. I know that once she gets in she'll think my shoes are the best part of me. The high maintenance sorority girls I use to date only like Bimmers with shiney new leather so I don't even try. They can smell grease monkeys like us coming a mile away. ANd, the torn seats in my 911 look like they belong in a Taxi in Istanbul. Besides, my lady will easily detect the smell of another female if one's been in the car...the smell of pefume is easy to differentiate from gear oil and grease and gas odor

my personal experience, having owned a bunch of cars, is that the ladies like the old Volvo P1800S best, followed closely by my wood-grain paneled Grand Wagoneer.

Right on, bro!!!! I don't give a rat's arse what someone thinks of my SC. Behind the wheel I feel like a Superstar, and that's all that matters to me. The grin across my face says it all. The way I see it, the car makes me happy. If I'm happy, I'm more fun around others. Win-win for all.

The car gets many envious glances by men young and old. Note, I said the CAR, not ME, you bum.

The 911 BBS is the best of all the forums I frequent--and to think I didn't want to buy a Porsche, because I thought the owners were prickly. So much for stereotypes...I am Jüng and Stupid.

I can remember when I'd have given every dime I had...just for the chance to screw the crack of dawn. Now that I'm pushing 60? Well...things change.

I just had a very attractive woman drive me around in her Civic on our date because she thought my car was too harsh and noisy. I'd have fared better in a 996, a new Bimmer, or an SUV. Driving's fun, but women are funner.

I don't know about you guys, but I don't get wood when I'm just cruising along. I don't even know why you would. You all have some pretty messed up anatomy. Seriously though I think I get more at my house than in any car. Don't worry about your car, it's probably one of the last things a girl looks at. Maybe you can try those new pheromones?

Motion, I'm in I guess...
I'm a college guy and the worst part about it is having to live down the Porsche misconception. These girls think it's a very expensive car (nicely modded '77), but in reality, their Audi's and SUV's cost a heck of alot more than the 911. I have taken a girl on a date who just got it. She said, after a good dinner, let's just keep driving... I could be a complete a**hole about the car as many of the Bimmer boys are at my univesity, but I like to play it cool and ignore their BS. If girls ask, then I'll talk about the P-car. Listen to this game... I could be alot crazier like most of my friends I guess. Time to get to work!

My 911 has definitely not led me down the beaver trail, (like how I tied in to the Oregon sub-theme?), I do a lot better w/o it. But I'll never give it up, it's a healthy addiction for me.

Never believed that the 911 should be my persona. I like the car for what it is, not for what definition it brings me. I could never be happy thinking the car makes ME.

The 911 seems to bring more problems than it's worth on a night out. As flattering as some comments are, most are based on ignorant stereotypes . It's esp. irritating when the commentary implies that I'm hurting for attention- I turn the conversation away from it unless I know someone REALLY has an interest in 911's (ie. another owner). You know full well most people don't really care.

Now that's out of the way, I'll take whatever is most convienent on a night out /date. Would never want to date any chick who buys the concept the 911 makes me command respect - and judges me accordingly. She don't like what I drove? Too bad...

rjp

Edit: Who am I kidding? If I happened to break some off one night because of some boring conversation starting with feigned interest about the P - car, I'm not gonna feel guilty. I may be idealistic, but I'm not stupid.

Hey Motion...count me in! I'm not looking for relationships or marriage, only the "disposable" ones, you know the one night stands...We should hook up and go hunting!

I agree, sponge bob is great!

It's the only cartoon I'll sit down and watch with my 2 lads. It must be great to get paid to think that stuff up!

Cheers

this does make me chuckel

it depends what kinda girls you are after

18years olds dig saxo's with big pipes

the more mature women either doesn't care or the more shallow of them would go for somthing new and shinny in a nice coulour that looks expensive it might be a hyundi for all they now

must say on a scale of female attention the porsche comes last

first is my ninja the girls love it,

second comes the 88 golf it must be the banger racer look they love then the porsche.

i can tell you one thing when my girlfriend is in the car we get plenty of looks from guys its lhd so i assume they all think its hers

I have found that most women are only impressed by the price tag on Porsches. Jags...now that's different. Shows what they know.
