Dottore's Harmonica's
The old timer's here will remember Dottore: a fine, fine person.
We corresponded quite a bit and he sent me his father's harmonica's and other items before he passed. I have three harmonicas remaining (my son has one, I have my favorite and I gifted one during the last Xmas exchange). I know this may seem maudlin to some, but I think he would have liked the remaining three to be given here. I am in the process of downsizing my life and am looking for good, meaningful homes. Please PM me if you remember Dottore and wish to have one. I'll take care of the shipping, etc. Best.

PM your details.
Best. He was so kind to me and I didn't want them to get lost in the shuffle. Thanks, Charles.

I miss him.
I wouldn’t honor the harmonica. I’m about as musical as dirt.

This is a nice gesture. I'm not interested in one of his harmonicas but wanted to say thank you, Paul.

Same here. Those were good years for Pelican. He was a great addition to the club. His harmonica would be wasted on me. I’m sure someone with ability to put it to good use will come along.

I never got to meet Dottore, but I sure wanted to. I even PM'd him that if he got anywhere near Houston, I'd love to join him for a beer. A harmonica would be lost on me, but very nice of you to do this.

I will step to the end of the line, but if no one else is interested I would take care of one. When I first started reading his posts I was suspicious that he any one person could claim so many experiences. Eventually, I realized that if anything, he downplayed things. In my profession, he was like an international rock star. In real life someone like him would never meet someone like me, let alone talk to me if for some reason I ran into him at a conference. But on PPBBS he treated me as an equal and was more gracious than tart, and we all know he could be tart.

We had some very wide-ranging discussions on the phone and in letters. I was always pedaling very hard to even keep up.

I'd take one Paul if there's any left. Dottore was a good guy.

All the harmonicas have been spoken for. When he sent all six, I asked him why; he said I'd figure it out. He was right. Thanks, all.

To all who know him, I think it would be great to tell us just one story about Dottore. This way we all have a piece of his legacy and memory even if we can't play the harmonica.

I also remember Dottore. I am not looking for a harmonica, but what you are doing Seahawk is awesome. This kind of thing is what will keep Dottore in our memories. BZ

I'll tell you, blowing Dottore's harp is something special...
Seriously, thanks for the Harmonica. Dottore was a special guy and I also wish I could have met him in person.

I remember him fondly. Loved to read his posts.
There was a lot of speculation as to what happened to him. This is the first time i have heard (for sure) that he passed. RIP Dottore

Great gesture Paul. Thanks for the remembrance. Dottore was definitely one of the fine gentlemen of this BB. We all benefited from his time with us.
I know others who were recipients of his largesse, and 'generous' barely describes it!
