What you did looks great. Just thought I'd mention the wraps. Few people are aware of the option

I installed a blank cover plate on a low-voltage box.

Phew! 😅

Had to cut down a Foxtail Palm that had contracted a fungus known as Ganoderma Butt Rot.

I planted it back in '06 and it was doing great until this fungus got into it.

The last photo shows the "Conk" at the base of the trunk. That will also need to be removed. Today was getting most of it at the curb for our yard waste pickup day.

Nice job URY914!
Slapping on some plastic would not give you the satisfaction of DYI.

Our dryer kept leaving a rust mark on white things. I took the drum out, cleaned the edges and replaced the felt seal around both edges. Several months later same problem. Today Costco delivered a new washer and dryer. The guys couldn’t get the cold hose off of the faucet and neither could I even with heat from a torch. Told them to use the old hose and I’d deal with it. Finally had to cut a slot in the union to get it loose. Nothing is ever easy but at least Mama is happy!

^^^ Install a zip tie to secure the drain line. I’ve seen where they have pumped themselves out of the box.

I saw that and thought the same thing. Thanks for the reminder.

I always love it when someone delivers something. There's the possibility I can relax. "Finally, I can let that guy deal with the install."

And I end up getting to deal with it anyway. Glad it's fixed.

The weed whacking, cutting, & trimming has started as of last week. I've got about a sixth of it done so far. Waitiing for the rest to get dry enough.

Looks great, Marv......nice work there! Love the sitting bench! :)

Thanks Baz. I've got a long ways to go. I'm pleased that my Mesquite trees are beginning to sprout. Also, I have to admit that at approaching 82, it gets to be more of an effort each year.. I'm happy I can still get it done, even if it takes longer than years past. I enjoy the bench, & everybody seems to like it. My neighbor who moved away gave me another one to redo, so I have to find a place to put it also.

I turn 70 next month, Marv and can absolutely appreciate the increase in effort needed in your work endeavours.

I suspect though, you enjoy the satisfaction of your accomplishments and this is what keeps you going more than any other factor. And rightly so!

Your comment about it taking longer to do the work though hits home - and has become my philosophy to assist me in persevering. Take your time.....pace yourself....and absolutely enjoy the journey. :)

I have some garden benches at my place and really enjoy what they bring to the table. I love how they turn a piece of land into a park!

A Great Egret in my front yard......

Yes, benches bring a restful feeling if you can have a nice setting. We have a couple of locations where we can go to enjoy the scenery, shade, and breezes. My wife wants the next bench to be put behind the house so she can go out and look at the moon, take pictures, etc.

New trim, Front and rear. Not "fun" but satisfying.

My Sunday project (05/19/24). I built a small fence on the side of my house to conceal my tool shed and area that I store junk. I will build a gate in the near future.

I used some more pieces of my wife's old quilting machine frame to make a shelf that hangs from the rafters of my garage.

My next garage project will be or should be, emptying all the shelves, going thru all the 'saved' items and tossing a lot out.
The train set is for my youngest grandson. It won't be going to him for another year and a half or so since he's only two.
