Yeah really nice for him to package them up. Quite a bit of work saved honestly, he could charge more and Id still be fine. Otherwise Id have to try to read them all and piece out on digikey or whatever.
The main filter caps a tiny little guy especially compared to the orignals. Both rated at 35v 2200uf, but new ones physically smaller. I guess you don't need much for 20wpc. Ordered some deoxit just now to clean up the board and pots. A lot of trouble for an integrated I bought for 75$ on a whim at a pawn shop a decade ago. |

I did a muriatic acid treatment on my shallow well. Poured a gallon in early this morning and just now flushed her out and got her going again. Can see a little improvement in volume so happy. Had to do quite a bit of priming this time - actually hooked a hose up to the output spigot tee and fed it water from my domestic supply for about 10 minutes before she finally got the proper flow again. Mrs. Bugs got home Friday night from nearly a month in AZ with family and the kids. She said that she wanted to be the one to swap out the non-adjustable rear camber arms for adjustable ones on her 2015 Honda CRV. It came from the factory with a negative camber, so now we will be able to get the alignment dialed in. I ended up getting the ones from the local auto supply, name brand suspension supplier and they carry a lifetime warranty, unlike the Amazon ones that carry only a 30 day at best. Hope this helps, I also recently had the headlights polished out and a layer of 3M clear film to prevent the crazing and protect the lenses. Now the LED bulbs are even more bright, but I also re-adjusted the angle so no to blind oncoming traffic. [emoji2371] Tires being ridiculously expensive now, I’m trying to extend the life of her tires. I found this on the Honda website but it doesn’t cover our year. We set the new adjustable arms to the current length of 240 mm, which is what the factory arms are. That is because the shop will adjust them appropriately and lengthen them to the correct length. I’m in danger of surrendering my man-card fellas.
In the 30 years of ownership, I have officially been bamboozled by my 95 GMC K1500 4x4. After extensively researching my manual and possible causes of its poorly running issue, I am just plumb out of ideas. The next step in this mystery, is finding a way to test the back pressure via an insert I can run into my 02 sensor bung to attempt to detect a blocked or restricted catalytic converter. Two senior mechanics mentioned the symptoms sound like a blocked cat. Today, I loaded 20 gallons of fresh gas into the tank to test the Fuel Pump replacement job. The pump sounds 200% better and I am more confident that it won’t short and explode, but it still ran like garbage. There is no “check engine” lite Work done since April 16th, 2024: Rebuilt TBI unit with new injectors New fuel pump New fuel filter New M.A.P. Sensor New I.A.C.V. New T.P.S. New ignition control module on the distributor New plugs New cap New rotor New O2 sensor New EGR valve New EGR solenoid No known vacuum leaks checked via the spray test. New manifold temp sensor New K&N air filter I am out of ideas as is my shop manual …. So I hit the six exhaust manifold bolts with PB Blaster to let them soak. It will be a miracle they don’t snap off. The theory is that by opening the exhaust system a little bit, if the cat is restricted, the gap will allow the engine to breath and run slightly better, although very loudly. No real way to drop the cat and have a look inside. Being a 1995 model, I assume there is no OBD2 as that wasn't put in place generally until the 1996 model year. Did the creation of the exhaust manifold gap have any positive results? If so, sounds like you have a clogged cat. A clogged up catalytic converter will definitely cause some performance issues for sure.

My son and I went to the Atlanta South location of Pull-a-Part last Sunday. We have been searching for a replacement hood for his girlfriend's car, and it has taken quite some time, but we finally snagged one. Her car was damaged a little more than a year ago when a tree fell across the front during a storm. The topside of the hood looks pretty good. Of course, coming from a donor car in a salvage yard, it isn't going to be perfect. The underside of the hood had a little rust around the rubber seal, so I am currently repairing that with some steel reinforced epoxy putty and some small galvanized steel strips I cut as tiny filler panels. Once I sand and smooth the epoxy, the repair areas will be blended in and not be so noticeable and hopefully will last a while. We cleaned the areas of rust first and then applied some rust protection/converter spray before filling in with the epoxy.
Here are some pictures of her current hood, and this was after we pulled the dents as much as possible and some pictures of the hood we got from Pull-a-Part. We also got a passenger side fender. Next up, we will replace the headlights and paint the grill, and I even have a replacement Toyota badge for the grill as well.
