Got the new tires loaded and mounted on the tractor. It had been sitting on blocks for a week waiting for the new tires.
Got the floor repairs done on the other side of the barn. Put in the last of the wood this morning. The wife did most of the two cords over the past week. The next job will be to anchor the trampoline. It is in a sheltered spot, but the Missus wants it secure and I have no place to put it. Best Les

It's cast, so you would probably have to use nickel rod. Brazing would show up too much and it would look like a bad repair.

I pulled the durock down and added extra bracing into the ceiling joists.. then furred it down with 3/8" ply then put the durock back up. I also managed to get the tile set on the ceiling... 12 hour day. With the ceiling furred 3/8" the layout works with no cut tiles. 12 hour day. My neck and shoulders are killing me.

Replacing the thru hull transducer in my boat. Been putting this off for a while, but I have a fishing trip coming up on a lake I don’t know and would like to know my depth at speed.

Treated my little old gray market Kubota to a new seat. The old one was probably as old as the tractor - about 40 years. I really like this tractor. It has all the features my larger one has. Has run like a fine watch for the sixteen years I've had it.

I normally dont do this much work for other people but this guy was kinda in a bind and its a cool car. Putting floor pans in this thing and patching up rust spots. It was at the last guy for over 2 years and he did very little. He is running out of time to enjoy it with his kids. Its so patched up and bondo'd already its fun because i dont have to do great work. I only had it a day and already got one side almost done.

Wired up the relocated cruise control on the 330 tonight. The cruise control light on the instrument cluster came on but I won’t be able to test it until tomorrow.

Finally got around to replacing the front struts on my 2008 SAAB 9-3.
I think I got my money’s worth out of these, or rather someone did as I have only put about 6,000 miles on the car since I bought it last year. Ride was getting harsh and noisy. One of the springs even had a portion broken off. In the last month or so, besides the struts, I have replaced the front calipers, rotors, hoses and pads and the rear pads and rotors. I will say, that even with 150,000 miles, I’m finding the car pretty easy to work on. ![]() ![]()

On the home front I'm closing in on my shower project. The end walls will be solid surface as i have several cut offs to work with.... no cost, except the adhesive, $25 a tube 3m 5200 quick set. Normally SS is cut in large sheets after it's seemed and then afixed with 100% silicone, in my case I didn't feel like seeming my cut offs into one solid wall end, plus I can't move it alone so I tiled them to a lft size that matched the subway stuff.. I readily accept my layout isn't on the mark but I'm happy with it as it's the first tile job in 20+years after quitting setting, roofing and general contracting. I'm remembering why I quit.

At work I'm about ready to finish paint the skybolt fabric repairs. This strutt had a lot of bondo on it.. right on the fabric. When it let go of the flexible surface, the bondo that is, it left quite the jagged edge. I brought it through all of the dope process then loaded it up with flexible urethane (aerothane) then feathered on flexible bumper glaze(it sticks to catalyzed paint nicely) now I need to hit it with some sealer before I shoot it, hopefully be done with the whole repair before Friday.

One of my customers who is getting along in years but loves to collect them, brought me this girl running on one cylinder. Trigger coil ohm'd way out of spec. Easy fix with new coils from Italy still available. Not a cream puff, he will be riding this one.
![]() ![]() He has a 916 and a 1975 750 sport In his living room. The 750 he got in pieces locally from Jerry Kosinski, I had the pleasure of building it for him. .

Got this craftsman r1000 from a neighbor thats moving for free. It was stuffed in the back of his shed hasnt been used in many years because the wiring was a mess. I deleted all the safetys and got it going again. But the carb was gummed up so i ordered a new one hoping it would save me some trouble. I also deleted the fuel shutoff on the carb because it was electrical. That was a bad move because it leaked when it was off. Iv done that 100s of times before and never had a problem. Got pissed off and tried to clean up the old carb no dice same problem. So I put the new carb back on and fixed the shutoff. Now it didnt want to run off choke. After all day fussing with it I figured out it ran good without the air intake on it. Must have been the wrong gasket and it was. The new carb has a vent hole that needs to be open. I put on the gasket with a cutout into the intake. Ran better but still not great. Seemed rich. So I made another gasket with a notch to vent the hole to outside the intake. Fixed! So the intake was sucking fuel out of the vent hole and making it too rich. Im going to be doing alot of testing before i sell it but my other neighbors son in law wants it because its small and will fit through his gate.

That's why I hate changing out carbs. I never know what bleed holes/vents need to be open/blocked. And they come with six gaskets...
