Had a pretty good couple of days... this morning I got to do some fixit on my granddaughters turns.
Got home and sewed up my pattern headliner... then took a trip to the hangar for its test fit.
To my thinking it went very well. The cathedral braced 12's usually have metal headliners or none at all. Managed to get everything pretty close to dialed in, only a few minor adjustments but I made notations on the pattern. The win today..? I don't need to re sew the pattern. Overall, I couldn't hope for more considering it's a custom fitted headliner.

Got the Silverado repaired today. By my mechanic. :)

Replaced the last factory brake line with one made from NiCop, so that should be it for any brake line issues going forward.

This was one of the rear ones that hugged the rear axle.

Also had to replace the front left brake hose which had been rubbing against the freaking strut for some reason which wore a small hole in it.

Also replaced the power steering pressure line, which had a small hole in it.

Also, my new trailer hitch arrived today from etrailer, so replacing my old one will be the next task.

Nice!
What did you use for paint?

I get to remove industrial fall out and oxidation from this one.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1737082417.jpg

Today racing friend Gene helped me install a new slot car track computer, new timing software and some new relays, track call button, computer bypass switch.
Works great, hosting races Saturday in Sandy Eggo. Join us.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1737091293.jpg

Sweet setup. Mine is an Arora 4 land permanently mounted to a 4x10 deck.. I'm likely going to sell it and get a viper layout. I have a couple of mega g cars... totally useless, I need new controllers.

Really fixit-ing this... left the wrong rag on the surface during lunch. I had done a lot of touch up on the skybolt during the summer, and I have the paint so it's not the end of the world.... but still.... cripes a mighty.

Dang, that's the kind of thing I'd do.

I made this old grandfather clock into a shelf. It was a gutted broken piece of garbage when I picked it up. It was at a funiture consignment shop sitting outside the dumpster. I took the box off the top where the clock was and moved the mustache trim down to where it is now. Put Shelves in and got it all solid again. I also cut a mirror for the back of the top shelf. I was going to give it right back to the consignment shop but my mom claimed it. Wish I got better before and after pics because it really came out nice. Also had to make a little stool for it to sit on so it sits above the baseboard heater and against the wall. It took her about 10 minutes to make it look like it was there for 30 years

Rebuilt my Paslode nail gun. When you press down on the nose, it would not turn on or fire the nails. I cleaned and lubed everything, and it works, but won’t drive the nail. Took it apart again, I noticed the piston with the shaft to drive the nail was bent. I’ve ordered another one and hopefully that solves the problem.

Viper cars work great. Viper sold their CNC track business to Willy Musgrave (on Facebook) located in Riverside California.
Willy builds a very nice track. I would have him rail it and then build it from there.

That's too bad, viper is only an hour from me.

Used Dawn industrial cleaner and pressure washed the engine and rear suspension/transmission/underbody/etc on the 911. Looks much better after removing 38 years of dirt and grime. I’ll probably do it again this spring or summer to get the last bit and front.

I replaced the driver seat four-way button to try and fix the seat back not going forward or backward. It didn’t work, but I’m getting power, when I press the button forward and backward. I’m guessing it’s a motor issue which is located in the top of the seat back. That means pulling the seat and removing the cover….
