I don't think anyone is picking Columbus to win more than one game.
On a brighter note, the Isles are giving the Pens trouble. A really good game to watch. The score is close but NY has been dominant. They MUST stay out of the penalty box if they want to win games.
Lo and behold, the Blues have tied it up!

Wow, what a game in Tampa. The Bolts are going to have to earn that cup if they want it.

C'mon, Isles!

Awright! Hands up! Who picked the Jackets to erase a 3 goal deficit when Foligno scored midway through the second?
I sure as hell never thought it possible. Here comes that word again 'yaneverknow'.
Sports at times can become a most humbling of endeavours. Goalie 'Bob' was out of his mind.
He could legitimately make that a real series if he can maintain that level of play.

However, I feel the Bolts will show up for the next game with a much heightened sense of purpose
& will eventually prevail. For now, the Jackets are playing with house money.

Some pretty decent hockey last night - the first round seems (to me at least)
to have the best & most interest/excitement factors.

Cheers
JB

It really was a step up from the regular season!

Just three games tonight. Caps getting ready to take on the 'Canes, who we all know are just the Hartford Whalers repackaged.

In honor of the Whalers, 10 hours of Brass Bonanza:

Also tonight:
Bruins / Leafs
Avs / Flames

Well, If you reverse all my picks to win the first round I'm batting 1000 except for the Blues. Truth is that ANYTHING can happen in playoffs and there has been some excellent hockey played. I imagine there were a lot of stunned Tampa fans last night. The only good news for me was the Islanders winning in OT.

Tonight the Bruins are holding my percentage close to zero again already down 3-1. They are getting beat with turnovers and the Leafs are racing down the ice (the one thing I said the Bruins can't do is play run and gun) and beating Rask who is NOT playing Cup winning hockey. He's doing meh o.k. but if you want to win in the playoffs you better be closer to super human. Not tonight. I hope he takes a seat for game 2 because competition with another goalie always seems to elevate his game. Short of another miracle comeback, it looks like the Leafs and the Caps have game 1 nicely in place but we'll see.

That Isles game took years off my life. It will not be easy but I think they take the Pens this series.

The Islanders are owning the Pens for the second time. I like it.
