These 8 pm starts are killing me!
Game ends way past my bedtime! |
19 year old kid challenged Ovi to a fight , three punches from Ovi and the kid was out cold ! Heat turning up in the Caps/Hurricane series .
|
Yeah, that was not smart on Svechnikov's part. That's only Ovi's fourth career fight, but he's been around the block at least. And he outweighs that kid by 40 pounds.
Still, the Canes are up on the scoreboard, where it matters most. |
Sacred feces Joe, that last period action was intense. Andersen played the Bs really well.
|
Anderson was excellent tonight but for most of the game, EVERYTHING the Bruins did to beat the Leafs in game 2 was missing in game 3. The number 1 line played like "#2"... No fore-checking, no taking away time and space on the Leafs, No heavy hitting on the boards.
|
Flames are in tough tonight.
Avs are out shooting them 2:1. Tough start with a goal post and then a full 2 minute 5 on 3. Too many men I saw but the second penalty was crap.... Oh well hope they can turn it around. |
Wow, Smith has seen more rubber than a prostitute at a Shriners convention....
|
Tonight will we see some teams eliminated ? I think Tampa is mentally out of it and will be swept .
|
Last night I believe the Flames played the ubiquitous 'stinker' teams seem to come up with or play every now & then.
Smitty kept the score from being much worse. You'll see a much better effort from the boys come Wednesday. The Bolts will prevail to night to at least avoid being swept & it is a virtual toss-up on whether the Isles take out the Pens in 4 straight. I hope Sid & Co. come up large (I like watching Sid) although Trotz has his guys playing very well. The Pens are in tough. The Jets/Blues should be the game of the night (for us westerners) & I'm taking the Jets. Binnington will come back down to earth - should be good. Vegas vs. the Hosers - man, that is some 'meat' league mean-a$$ed hockey. The Sharks may miss "Jumbo' who some say got off a little light in his suspension - maybe due to his stature in the game - a sure-fire first round Hall-of-Famer. It's getting interesting Gents Cheers JB |

If you are a Tampa fan it's not looking good after only 5 minutes of play .

And another one for Columbus
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1555467204.jpg So, my Eastern bracket is shot to Hades already. The only consolation is maybe the Bruins have a chance IF they make it out of the first round. |
Well, Tampa being gone sure screws up a few brackets!
Wow, who could have seen that one coming. Nice work, Jackets. Very surprised that the Islanders made such short work of the Pens. Didn't see much of that series on the cable that I have. |
There are some bookies taking anxiety pills right now.

I can't remember seeing so many open net goals. Crazy
|
NHL.com is offering a "Second Chance Bracket" at the end of the first round.
I guess Tampa/Columbus shredded 90% of the brackets out there (except for the "delusional" Columbus fans who thought they had a chance). |
I am not upset to see the Penguins make an early exit.
CBJ surprised me though. |
I'm really surprised the Pens went without so much as a whimper. Very uncharacteristic for them. They are more than worthy foes to my Caps, and they usually surpass expectations in playoffs.
The Bolts. Until last year Caps fans were well accustomed to underperforming in playoffs, especially after President's cups, etc. I'm not sure they ever actually got SWEPT in the first round, however. It's going to be a long offseason in Tampa, with a lot of soul searching. I've been able to watch so little of the playoffs it's killing me. Moved into a new house last week and TV service hasn't been hooked up yet. It's probably for the best though :) |
I watched the CBJ/Tampa game and it was exciting , Tampa did try and fight back . Stifling defense and great goal tending worked for Columbus . Torts did a great job keeping his guys focused on the plan . Congrats to them . Tampa ......... wow a LOT of soul searching will be done now that they are on the golf course .
Vegas lit it up last night they are getting hot at the right time . I'd like to see the Pred's go deep . I am very happy with Hulu's selection/availibility of NHL games now if I could just stay up later :D And congrats to the Islanders , just based on previous experience I'm sure the talking heads favored the Pens . We still have a loooong way to go to get to Lord Stanley SmileWavy |
