Couple things
Bears surprisingly enough can live over 20 years in the wild.
So you are dealing with a smart bear- but you being a human if you apply yourself you can outsmart him and not ruin his life.
Like said-he is an opportunist and like most anything will take what is most EZ.
Eliminate the food or make it to difficult for him MND HE WILL MOVE ON.
Simple really.
Next-it does take an expert to decide bear tracks usually because of the walk weird-
The front foot usually will land in the rear print and versa visea leaving large prints.
Anyway, if he is a 500-pound bear he is smart.
Smart enough to know when the odds are getting stacked.
Give him a chance to make a choice.
Or be an average white man and just kill it.....most anyone can do that.
