Bear problem.

Neighbor took this photo last night. He’s raided three chicken coops in the last two weeks. No longer cares if people see him walking around. My wife saw him by our lake a few days ago.

Not cute anymore. Not going to end well.

Beautiful creature.
Doesn't look to be starving, almost a little beer belly there?

KFC911 06-27-2019 10:38 AM

That thing is bigly :(....

A brown I assume....wonder how big?

Which caliber you gonna use before he really gets hungry....no fear you say?

BIG bang....got to...doncha?

edited....Mebbe I zoomed in too much on my tiny phone.....not big ;)

River full of salmon five miles away. He has no business being here.

Most around respect the wildlife, and want to coexist. But this guy is pushing it.

Have a .454 casul revolver handy.

Where at? Your user ID doesn't say?

A MAN resembling a "mummy" has been found alive in a bear's den a month after the beast attacked him and dragged him to its lair for a future meal, according to reports in Russia.

Named only as Alexander, the victim is said to have been severely injured and close to death when hunting dogs supposedly found him in Russia’s remote Tuva region.

I'd prefer having a magnum rifle handy...

varmint 06-27-2019 11:51 AM

Rifles everywhere. But revolver is on my person.

I live on the kenai peninsula. Bears are a part of life. But they leave us alone. We leave them alone. Too many pets and livestock and kids around. This bear is looking to have a bad end.

Not leaving garbage out. Leaving bird feeders empty. Escorting the pets everywhere. What else can I do to make the place unappetizing.

Start spraying bullets - the sooner the better so you don't end up like that idiot, bear whisperer dude and his poor, nieve girlfriend.

You cannot imagine the hassle of killing a bear out of season. Disposing of the carcass, you’re not allowed to save anything, while fish and game crawls up your ass demanding you prove it was self defense.

Would prefer to avoid the whole situation.

Bears are beautiful creatures and like everything they are an opportunist.
Please hook up an electric fence to your valuable spaces.
Once it is no longer EZ they move on.

Yep. They come in for an easy food source. You must eliminate the easy food source.

I had a BIg male on my porch (large triangle ) because twice I left the bird seeds out.
He has not been back since I outsmarted him.
(Bring it all in at dusk of course)
That is the trick or there will be constant conflict with some sort of wildlife.
Try to get everyone to live in some sort of harmony.

He is in Kenai. Bears are everywhere there. Just got a taste of chicken...

As he said, not going to end well.
