Sitting on the porch with a stiff drink and watching the sun set is a close second, but that’s not exactly a “daily” routine....cpl days a week maybe

+1. Fresh grind of beans, double shot espresso, a dab of cream, and 6 oz of hot water and I have my americano coffee. Wife and I have this ritual every Wednesday morning and on the weekends, coffee and plans for the day.

If I've been working that day, a cold beer when I arrive home. Usually lasts about 5 swallows.

As soon as I step out of bed our male dachshund comes running around the bed from the side where the dog bed is. He has his tail wagging like I am the best sight he has ever seen. He wants to mouth my thumb as his greeting.
As soon as I am showered and dressed and heading to the kitchen he is acting like Lassie leading me to Timmy trapped in the well, but it is the back door. He has a doggie door, but there is something special about getting to go out the kitchen door into the back yard. I get the coffee going, and then feed the dogs. His favorite time for sure.

Making dinner. I dream about it all day. I plan and replan, go shopping at 5 and then make my day long fantasy. Tonight, fresh saffron fettuccine with lobster, asparagus and peppadew peppers with a white balsamic butter sour cream sauce and fresh lemon spritzed over everything. Fantastic with a white Bordeaux with hints of citrus.

As soon as I get up in the morning I make myself a cup of Tetley tea.
In the afternoon I have 1 to about 1.5 glasses of red wine. The latter can be Californian, Spanish or Australian wine. Life is good.

The one on the left seems to have the ability to know what time I have my alarm set to wake up, and he breathes on me about 10 minutes before it goes off, until I wake up.

Best time of the day is 0500, heading out on a walk.

Breakfast is the best part of the daily routine. My favorite meal of the day...

Second best is playing with my dog Jack in the morning. As soon as I get out of bed, he's right there with one of his toys wanting to play 'fetch' or 'tug-of-war'.

I'll usually watch some old TV show if I'm home eating lunch too. Programs change over time depending on what's on...Magnum PI, Quantum Leap, Star Trek. Currently it's The Andy Griffith Show. Don Knotts was a comic genius...

This is every day when we are home together.

This is almost our exact routine, except we don't have dogs or a down stairs, and I make the coffee and we talk and watch the news in bed. On weekends or whenever we can during the nicer parts of the year, we sit/swing on our swing in front and view the canyon and eat breakfast. One of my favorite things. Sunsets are also great.
