The F-35 Is a $2,000,000,000,000 Fighter Punching Bag

Lockheed Martin has been inundated with orders from U.S. allies. At least 19 countries are flying the F-35 or have ordered it for their fleets. The F-35A costs around $110 million per jet. Lockheed Martin makes at least 110 F-35s each year of all models. The United States has 553 F-35s with another 1,855 on order.

Other top customers are Australia with 63 currently in use, South Korea with 40, Norway with 40, and Israel with 39 F-35s.

Here’s a few planes you don’t see every day. This was a nice treat although many planes needed major TLC.

Very disconcerting finding about F18 brain injuries.

^Makes me wonder if a Hans device would help?

Aviation related: 1/2 hour tour of a corporate jet Mechanic's toolbox.

The takeoff and landing forces are in opposite directions, hans would help with landing but not cat...

That is a political, rather than a technical question.
Pilot-less aircraft using A.I will almost always exceed human capability with every virtual sim.

We've become outdated because of physical forces and command limitations. Unfortunately.
Humans don't think well under 12+G

And the standard 'jet fighter' might soon become as outdated and useless as the 'aircraft carrier'.
Once a regional game-changer.
Now a big expansive target.

Having watched videos of fighter pilots, I also see them, twisting and turning their heads, to look around for planes, missiles, etc. I have a HANS for my track car and I can’t imagine trying to use it while flying a plane. But, maybe there’s something yet to be invented, that will work?
