+1
Its like when you see youtube videos of people being given a quote from President Trump and they condemn it to Hades and back until they are shown the that is was Obama that said it. Opps. "But I thought..."
No sweetheart, you didn't think. You believed and repeated what CNN told you.

I avoid them--haven't been there for months.

Unfortunately, so many people like me have left that they have run out of participants, so they try to sneak that **** in here. And then all the brain dead Trump sucking PARFers come infest this place.

It's funny, if a man tells another man how the other man is wrong they dispute the facts.

Yet, if a man tells a woman how the woman is wrong everyone jumps on the man for "Mansplaining." They tag the equal-opportunity offender as a sexist. Perhaps he's otherwise nice as he tells the woman how she's wrong. Then he's secretly sexist, doncha know...

Same way or POTUS is secretly sexist, racist, homophobic....

IOW, POTUS is an equal-opportunity offender. People tagging him are bent with desire for outing his REAL secret.

HaHaHa...what a joker. This thread, like all the rest, are just an excuse for some to trash the President...and then puss out when their misrepresentations are pointed out. Guys like you with arguments that get you laughed out of PARF (where they are challenged) come here to attack the President and those you could not better in debate (where it belongs, in PARF).

island911 08-04-2019 07:13 PM

Yeah, Corgi has been absent from parf for a while now.

Was it something I posted?

Folks are welcome to discuss their hatred of the President in PARF...yet they always bring it here. Then they whine about folks pointing out their sad misrepresentations. I think that speaks more to the issue of that "small man" syndrome than otherwise.

To madcorgie's credit he launched some epic threads. How many times did Trump tank the market in the last 2.5 years?

People can't seem to have an adult discussion about anything if firearms are involved at all.

This is a really complex conundrum. Seems like it would be important enough you could talk about like grownups, t'ant pis pour nous

I always get a kick out of the way the PARFers love to declare victory--for themselves. No wonder they worship at the altar of the Orange Occupant. He does exactly the same thing.

As with all things political these days, it's because neither side will admit to a common set of facts. And neither side trusts the other.

The fact is that the "sides" are not equally sized. People who favor bans on certain types of weapons and implementation of other tighter control measures vastly outnumber folks who oppose them. Inevitably, this minority rule situation will become unsustainable and the majority will implement draconian restrictions--national emergency, executive order, all now available--that go way overboard the other way, depriving honest gun owners of their rights, all because of a relatively few stubborn fanatics.

History repeats.
Repeat: History repeats.

Doubtful that you'll have to wait long.

I picked that one part mostly because no one that supports banning a certain type of weapon can explain how banning just that weapon platform will make any difference. A lot of people support banning the AR platform but can't put into words what good it will do. The response is "we have to do something" (look at the report about DeWine in Ohio and people yelling do something! https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/breakingnews/dayton-shooting-ohio-governor-mike-dewine-shouted-down-during-vigil/ar-AAFm9E9?li=BBnb7Kz "
The truth, and any honest person knows this is the truth, is that we start with the AR and we move to the next weapon of choice, then on to the next... all in the name of "doing something". They say "we aren't after your hunting rifles" right up until someone starts using them to kill others and then POOF they're gone too. How about rather than just doing "something" we take steps that would actually make a difference and that don't restrict the rights of law abiding gun owners? I fully support changing our background check system to include medical records focusing on what prescriptions the person has had and why. If something turns up, a full evaluation should be done to determine whether that person should be allowed to own a firearm or not. Read the report on the Dayton shooter. He had a kill list in high school. How does this guy EVER get to buy a gun? Look at the shooter in Florida... same thing. I'd bet if you look at the El Paso shooter's past you'd find red flags as well. There are things we could all agree to that would actually go a long way toward reducing the number of mass shootings as well as reduce the number of casualties when someone does go off the rails. Let's focus on things that would actually help.

As barbaric as it may seem, a fair trial in a reasonable amount of time/an appeal (if necessary for any judicial/process errors/then a swift punishment was a necessary component for a civil society until recently. I hate that capital punishment is necessary, but it is necessary at times.
