Cars driven the least?

Was a bit surprised to see Mustang on this list. But only the ragtop was mentioned. That may have a bearing. We do tend to drive Cindy's Camry more often. It's the better around towns grocery getter car, while the Mustang shines on two lane blacktop and the Interstate.

My wife's cars don't get a lot of use. Her Macan is a 2017 model we bought new. It only has 11,000 miles after two years of owning it.

95% of the time when we leave the house, we go in in my trusty old 1986 El Camino. It only has 366,500 miles on it.

My 1985 911 has 174,000. I did just get back from a 4,000 mile road trip to Key West in it.

We put 1000 miles on a Mustang convertible last fall in one week, it was glorious.

As long as the top was down. Which it was for 995 of those miles. 5 miles of the top up almost made me hate the other 995 miles. The visibility is zero. Ziltch. Nada.

If I owned one of them, I would not voluntarily drive it anywhere if the top needed to be up.

My Macan (also 2017) has 14k miles after nearly 3 years. My wife's Abarth has 20k after 8 years.

We live pretty close to our businesses, and I rent when I travel, so not much mileage anymore.

It was a different story for years--I'd run up 35-40k/yr in vehicles when I was tied to my home state only.

I DD my 2004 Mustang GT convertible (175,000 miles) It has 4.10 gears, a few bolt ons, a 93 octane tune, and lots of fun to drive.

My diesel Excursion probably gets driven the least, but shines on long trips with the camper, or multiple people.

Mine has been a garage queen for the last years now.
I am about to take a huge psychologycal hurdle by passing 125K miles.

I'd put it down to the most owners being older and out of shape. Ferraris and Lamborghinis are nice to have, but not easy to live with. It's much easier to pile up miles in a modern 911 Turbo.

As for the Mustang dilemma - my job has about 1200 employees and I'd say about a hundred of them own Mustangs (Camaros, Chargers, and Challengers are big here too). The coupes are daily drivers, the convertibles are sunny-day toys (popular until Ford comes out with a convertible F-150).
