Gary Sinise has been a great actor and started a wonderful foundation. Truly the opposite of so many in Hollywood. One of the good guys. I think only Bob Hope did more for our service men.

He is a good guy. His Lt. Dan Band plays concerts to support the troops. They played an outdoor concert at Ft Sill a few years ago.

A friend of ours has a son in law lost some limbs in the mid-east. The daughter and son in law now have a house provided by Mr. Sinise.

Yeah, what kind of person calls a bunch of people losers, having no idea what they’ve done? Besides you, of course, fk-whistle?

I have plenty of friends in Hollywood who have gone to Iraq and Afghanistan to entertain and visit the troops. There are also about 1000 other ways to be of service to your fellow man and woman, besides “supporting the troops.”

Gary Sinise sounds like a great guy but I don’t really know who he is, other than a recognizable name. I have no idea what, “Lt. Dan,” refers to.

You obviously missed the memo that was sent out to all Trumpers stating that since he criticized the dumpster, he must be stupid, etc. It’s in the party line, if you follow right wing blogs and Fox News.

Forget that some of the most brilliant artists of our time think that he’s a genius and want to work with him-in fact there is no one remotely involved w the film industry of the late 20th or 21st Century who does not want to work w him. He criticized the scumbag in power, he must therefore be an idiot.

If you’ve ever had the misfortune to visit PARF, you’d know that the right wing defense of anything indefensible is to immediately call the person making a claim they do not like an idiot. “You must be the dumbest person ever, etc...”, while avoiding any sort of substantial retort or material defense.

Back in about 1982, a friend of my family made a film w DeNiro and Jeremy Irons called, “The Mission.” His name was Daniel Berrigan and he was a well-known Jesuit Priest and activist. He was hired as the technical advisor, since both actors were playing Jesuits, he also had a supporting role in the film w/o much dialogue. If you know anything about Jesuits, their education is second to none in the world and they don’t spend much time watching Hollywood movies. He was a middle aged man at the time and barely knew who the two actors were before the film.

He was in Minneapolis and came over for dinner shortly after returning from the Amazon, where they shot it. I was already living in California but my younger siblings reported the conversation to me. Of course, everyone wanted to know what the experience was like, what were the actors like, etc.? After spending weeks in a remote location with them, he told them that Jeremy Irons was a classically educated and trained actor, a highly intelligent man. DeNiro, he said was different...no formal education but a genius. You would have had to have known DB to understand how not inclined he was to hyperbole.

But the guy criticized Trump, so he must be an idiot. Probably can’t read, according to people still struggling w there/their/they’re and your/you’re.
