Good friends just came across Canada and back pulling one behind their VW Tiguan. They found it was no trouble to pull and they would spend about every third night in fixed roof accommodations. They will use it mostly for weekends in the mountains for the next few years. It has a queen size bed in the front and a mini kitchen in the back under the hatch. They had to get some mosquito netting to help them survive while cooking. Best Les

Teardrops are pretty small, there are a number of lightweight options available now in travel trailers. I have an R-Pod and it works great for the 2 of us and a large dog. https://forestriverinc.com/rvs/travel-trailers/r-pod?RegionSelected=1 We have the 178, you can sleep 4 comfortably and at 2,700 lbs it's towable with most V6 equipped vehicles.

I looked into this (to replace a Vanagon Westy camper). They seem a bit spendy for what you get... Lots of diversity, all sizes you can think of - there are even off-road units.

My neighbor Wendy across the street makes a living renting her fleet of teardrop trailers out to the mountain bikers all week long. Her trailers are somewhat custom, and heavier duty axles, etc. She sells off the old fleet occasionally, I've thought about buying one.. https://www.redrockbasecamps.com/

While cute, and easily towable, they don't offer much protection from the elements, or the bugs. I choose to stand up in our travel trailer, and be able to sit in a comfy chair if desired. If you are into 90% outside living reagrdless of the weather, a teardrop might serve your purposes. There are plenty of small campers that have far nicer accomodations. Here is what I would look at if I wanted something small; https://forestriverinc.com/rvs/travel-trailers/flagstaff-e-pro

Yes it is! And the good part is each trailer rental comes provided with a hot chick and a dog, like in the pictures ...

I recently saw one of these at the local wooden boat festival. Very cool wooden teardrop trailer kits. https://www.clcboats.com/teardrop

What about pop-up campers. When I was a kid, we spent a couple/few weeks in one two summers in a row. It's not a luxury hotel or RV, but it's far, far better than a tent and I believe not bad to tow.

I've done enough towing to know it's not always about the size of the engine, but it is always about the size of the brakes.
