Grand Tour/(proper) Top Gear withdrawal

How you know you have Grand Tour withdrawal after watching the Vietnam episode for the third time.

Top Gear has a lot to answer for in our house hold

Because of their shows we drove from our house in Italy to Romania to do the Transfagarasan and also traveled the whole length of Vietnam

James May could do a program on just about anything and it would be entertaining, and here's evidence - James May making sandwiches.

I happened to catch a rerun from 2011 or so just the other night. No way can any other combination of hosts match up to those original three.

I just re-watched the Patagonia Special again and was so excited I had to share the play by play with my wife, hoping she might get excited to watch it with me for a third time....no luck!

All of the Grand Tour episodes are on Amazon, and I can watch them at any time. BBS America replays a lot of the Top Gear episodes as does Motor Trend TV.

I recently caught our son watching episodes on the TV and he was giggling his ass off. He couldn't even tell me what he was laughing at he was just laughing. Hammond you BEEP idiot is all he could muster.
They have a chemistry that just can't be replicated.

Jeremy Clarkson has become annoying. He used to be funny but it's all a bit thin now.

Indeed, I feel much the same about James May. I think I could hang out with Hammond.

I'd recommend a $4.99 sub to motortrendondemand for a month, and feast on Jason camisa + Jonny lieberman on "head to head" (older seasons when they are together). Best Duo.

Sadly Camisa left and is now at R&T replaced by jethro bovington who is a lot less funny. Also while your $4.99 runs its course, watch all the Ant Anstead master mechanic series where he hand builds a 50s alfa F1 car replica from scratch, and partake in many ld wheeler dealer episodes... For the money it's a good deal. Then cancel (or not)
