How can you tell if someone is vegan?
Don't worry, they'll let you know.

There may well be many valid reasons to be a vegetarian, or even a vegan. That is not what this thread is about. It is like going to a donut shop and demanding a gluten free sugar free donut.
This moron when to Burger King, and expected a vegan meal. The judge needs to charge the attorney that represents him with all court costs of Burger King. And then fine the idiot with contempt of common sense, and sentence him to 50 hours of working at a food line serving food to poor and homeless people.

FYI, it is possible to make tasty gluten free pasta. I did it about 23 years ago with a recipe from a book. It was surprisingly good. But I'm not suggesting that they start to make gluten free pasta.

I got no problem with what people choose to put in their gut.
Bully to them. As noted by others, sometimes this is for medical preferences or medical necessity. I also got no problem with restaurants catering a menu to their clientele. Bully to them too. That particular legal situation is like walking off a pier and blaming the sun g-d and everyone underneath. Praise Darwin! Last edited by john70t; 11-20-2019 at 06:35 PM.. |

A vegan mother was breastfeeding.
I was thinking of suing her for exploiting her body. Someone has to look out for them, she isn't

Burger King is defending itself against a class-action lawsuit over its Impossible Whopper, arguing that it never advertised the popular meatless item as vegan or promised to cook them any particular way.
The burger chain is currently in a legal battle against a vegan customer who sued the company in November for cooking the plant-based patties on the same grills as meat burgers. In a court filing on Thursday, Burger King said the lawsuit should be thrown out because plaintiff Phillip Williams should have asked how Impossible Whoopers were cooked before ordering, Reuters reports. VEGANS SUE BURGER KING'S IMPOSSIBLE WHOPPER, CLAIM PATTY WAS CONTAMINATED BY MEAT IN CLASS-ACTION LAWSUIT: REPORT In a court filing on Thursday, Burger King said the lawsuit should be thrown out because plaintiff Phillip Williams should have asked how Impossible Whoopers were cooked before ordering. (Photo: iStock) In a court filing on Thursday, Burger King said the lawsuit should be thrown out because plaintiff Phillip Williams should have asked how Impossible Whoopers were cooked before ordering. (Photo: iStock) Williams said his Impossible Whopper was “coated in meat by-products” after purchasing the burger at an Atlanta drive-thru. He and vegans all over the country became outraged at Burger King’s cooking practices. Williams "assumed that an Impossible Whopper would satisfy his own particularly strict form of veganism ... solely because he asked a Burger King restaurant employee to 'hold the mayo,'" Burger King said. "This claim has no basis." What’s more, the company said Williams would have known how the Impossible Whopper was prepared had he done the “smallest amount of investigation” on its website or by reading media reports.

Reminds me of Jay Leno's joke about John Kerry's wife Theresa Hines, heiress to the Heinz Ketchup empire: "Theresa Hines accompanies Presidential candidate John Kerry to a McDonald's during the campaign, to show what a 'regular guy' he is. She orders "pheasant". Ba dum bum!
