How to make a custom duct?
I am curious about how you would fabricate some custom ducting in a complex shape like a brake cooler scoop and duct. Could you form the shape from light wire mesh and then apply fiberglass or carbon fiber cloth and resin to it? I guess it's spring and I feel like a project.

That (Chuck's project) is really impressive. I can't weld, though, so I'd be limited to bend/snip/rivet or cloth/resin.

I don't think Chuck welded them, I think he braised them together using a hardware store propane bottle.
Thom F has done some stuff with Carbon fiber. You really should poist this in the general forum, I don't see this as off topic at all. Tom |
