it is not enough to pay for repairs and additions, esp. with more & more hybrids, EVs, and better mileage cars on the road
spending some on Mass transit would be great as it would get stoners & phoners OFF the damn hwy onto a "curated" sardine can where they belong |

My 16 year old bike insurance jumped from $108 last year to $162. I don't know what the next registration will be.

California is bait and switch, They promise it is for the roads but it got into the genral funds for who knows what. Now in San Diego they are switching the funds designated to imprving the freeways to creating bike lanes.

That's why I vote against every one of these taxes when I have the opportunity. Unfortunately they often get snuck through as fees, so no general population vote is needed. If the money actually went to the things as advertised, I might not mind. But funds get stolen for other projects all the time.

my city is bait and switch, They promise that bond money is for the roads but use it to destroy roads and take away lanes from cars to give to bicycles - horrendous traffic jams and angry drivers
