Lets all write "Gifty" a nice note telling them we want in on the funds transfer.

The sad thing is these scum prey on people who aren't smart enough (or have enough of their mental faculties left due to age)to see how obvious the scam is. I've read they purposely make the communication silly so that anyone who would have enough wherewithall to hunt them down won't be bothered.

I like how the UN's email address is "@stancedance.in"

Hey, I wasn't scammed, but I'd love to get some free money. Maybe they could just mail me the cash!

WC Fields made a movie called "You can't cheat an honest man" and it is still holds true.

Only someone that is at least a bit dishonest or more accurately, plain ol' dishonest would consider themselves the winner of a lottery they never entered, or due an inheritance from some relative in another country.

The ones I do feel really sorry for are the grandparents scammed by the phone calls from a supposed grand-kid in jail and needing bail money. I got a text message once that claimed to be a friend of mine in jail and needed bail money for a DWI. My text back was tough luck, stay in jail. My real friend does not drink at all.

Mr. Fields was a great philosopher.

People who are mentally challenged or have major memory issues are not dishonest. Just vulnerable.

True, there are probably a few that are not greedy and dishonest, but that's probably the minority. Dishonest, greedy people can/do get old. There are old grifters and shysters.

It's probably also possible for greedy and or dishonest people to become vulnerable.

Yes, I have no doubt that honest, good old folks get taken. I also think that there are folks that get taken that aren't honest or good, but are hoping for something for nothing.
