There are cheap "K-Cup" machines around for under $50 which you can get from a local store.

You can also get Nespresso machines which will actually make passable espresso...but they are more expensive.

We have a Super-Autos at home and in the office. The Backup Super-auto is presently non-op. I do have a Keurig single cup as a backup. I also have a couple of Italian stove top espresso makers and a Corning stove top percolator (camping) pot. I also have 2 jars of Foldergers crystals for super-duper, SHTF, bug-out scenarios.

French Press is cheap and easy.

The recipe for Starbucks in a french press is easy. Go out to your charcoal grill and grab some old charcoal and drop it in the the FP. Add boiling water. Toss the water.

Rather pedestrian, but we've been pleased with Keurig. Can buy them anywhere, thousands of coffee pod options, each cup is fresh, and when the machine breaks every two years, throw it away and $129 later you're back in business. Haven't had one explode yet!

Would have no idea what to do with the machines pictured above.

Frequent power outages here. I keep a one burner camp stove that uses the little screw in propane bottles, and use an old fashioned camp percolator pot. Not the best tasting, but gotta have my coffee! Always good to have a backup plan...

I have about the same thing and even splurge on Aldi Donut Store blend but for a couple years had a a machine similar to OP's. Coffee made through those is divine.

I don't think I've ever had fewer than three functional coffee makers in the house at one time. Mrs. Lee uses the espresso maker and I use the cheapo Hamilton Beach percolator. We have a French press and a Bunn machine as backups.

We have gotten spoiled over the past 10 years. We are used to staggering into the kitchen, putting a cup under the spout, and pushing a button. You get a cup of great coffee in 2 minutes for the 1st one, and 30 seconds for the second (after the machine has warmed up). It's going to be a rough few days before the new one gets here.

I'm not a coffee drinker but do enjoy hot tea and this morning had hot chocolate with mini-marshmallows. Lots of times it only some kind of fruit juice.

I have a Mr. Coffee machine plus Costa Rican blend coffee on hand - but doubt if I use it more than 3-4 times/month.

My back up is a cheep Melitta style "filter funnel" thing. Put coffee grounds in the filter, set over your favorite mug, boil water and pour over the grounds. When we were without power after Hurricane Ike for two weeks, the old Colman camp stove had the water boiling in no time and did the trick every morning.

^ Those make surprisingly good coffee. I have instant hot water, so it's a good backup to the Keurig.

My daily go to is a Breville Oracle at the office. I don't usually drink coffee at home, where I have the Keurig, an old school stove top espresso thing, and a French press of course. If I had to, "cowboy coffee" can be made in any bucket or metal container. Boil coffee around 10 minutes, add cold water after taking off the heat.

French press is probably the most "real" coffee. Water not quite boiling, say 95 celsius that's about 200 F, and leave it three minutes.

Me, I've got my trusty Vibiemme domobar super. Chrome and steam, but doesn't necessarily mean a better coffee.

Haha. I’ve got the same Brera. Had it for a few years. It’s been perfect so far. The descaling light comes on pretty frequently. There’s a mode you need to enter to get it to do the auto descale. Takes about an hour and requires some monitoring/refills etc. I usually just descale twice a year since I use filtered water.
I do have a pour over Bodum also which I use for making black coffee if someone gives me preground beans.

Our kitchen counter top has a microwave, 3 coffee makers (plain, keurig, espresso/frapper) and a toaster. I quit drinking coffee last fall, and I don't use the toaster. I use the microwave a couple times a week at most.
