My Pelican floormats are dirty

Absolutely horrible quality. When I purchased the mats I was assured by Wayne himself that the mats would repel all dirt and stains and last "indefinitely." Now, after only two years and 70,000 miles, I'm beginning to see some wear around the heel area. And where did these stains come from?

Now I've only slept in the car maybe a dozen times, and I hardly ever cook in there anymore. So I'm thinking Pelican Parts owes me a new set of mats. But what do they say when I call to complain? WEAR ITEMS! Can you believe that? Since when are floor mats wear items? The last set that I bought from Pep Boys held up just fine even when doubling as floorboards in my rusty Scirocco.

Now that Pelican's questionable customer service has been exposed, I am curious if others have had similar bad experiences?

Seriously, Wayne, I hope you don't let people get to you. You have done a great job building this website, and no single customer should make you question your policies or principles.

Yeah, Wayne, you have 360,000 posts by satisfied 911 customers (more in the other forums too) versus a handful from dissatisfied ones. Pretty good ratio.

I'm disappointed that Wayne doesn't put some chocolate mints in every order. Just what kind of service is this!!!!!

So Chris got my mints? And now they're smeared on his mats? Dang, I'll never buy anything from PP!

That's the final straw. I'm allergic to chocolate. What world does Wayne live in? Doesn't he check the medical histories of those he does business with. Am I asking for too much here guys? Just a little sensitivity.

P.S. I also have a slight ragweed allergy. Just remember that when you ship the flower boquet with my sway bar order.

I get candy in my orders from other venders (Peanut M&M's, Skittles, etc) and most recently from the guy who does my heads (Mary Jane's, chewy things). Pelican is the only one that provides a BBS for my benefit though.

Come to think about it, the "O" rings that Darren sent me now have oil on them (they are installed in the oil return tubes) and I am unhappy! I want new ones!

After all, the first set of "O" rings they sent were the wrong size (my fault) and Darren sent the correct ones FREE and priority mail, but that should not count. They even called a few days later to confirm that they were the right ones but that should not count either!

I am going to pout and act like a 12 year old until I get new, clean "O" rings and I want them installed for free as well!

Joe

Man, your brakes wore out too. I know, I just didn't want to rock the boat, but now that we're all voicing our dissatisfaction....

How about a bottle of J.D. along with the mints?

Why can't Wayne anticipate our needs and ship parts to us so that they arrive just as we realize we need them. Come on, we're in the 21st Century.

Yes. Yes. We want a just-in-time shipment wizard. But don't send me anything I don't want.

I'll make it even easier - send me one of everything in the warehouse and I'll just send the "defective" stuff back quick as I can.

I'm keeping the mints, tho ......

problem with your mats, eh,....that's nothing...you should see the fight I am having with the guy at the corner SHELL station! I have to keep going back and getting more liquid for the fuel tank! And he wants me to pay for it EACH TIME! I'm going to get a lawyer and sue the crook!

Too funny,

I too had a VW Scirocco in that state. Didn't realize it until my feet raised up when I would hit a puddle.
