With it in your front yard, just remember to make it something with no retaining pond that a kid could drown in. It is an "attractive nuisance" and if some kid could possible fall in and drown it might be something to talk to your insurance agent about.

We have a koi pond in our back yard that is surrounded by plants and flowers my master gardener maintains.

You don't want any of that ugly plastic tray showing so I'd put a layer of small river stones in it with some polished pebbles to fill in. Then I'd stack 3 or so larger stones vertically and have water flow out and over the top one. Low interesting plants around the perimeter to conceal the lip.

Some will look at it as a Phallic symbol.

From this angle the waterfall and pond view is almost blocked with flowers.

Here's the one I did in the back yard. It's a similar type of basin. It's covered in rocks - there is no exposed water.

The back yard looks great! I'm sure whatever you do in the front will look amazing.

You could have something like this as a water feature. And if the wife sees you having an outside pee you can say if it's OK for him it's OK for me.

OK, I went with a fairly simple water feature: an 18x18 gabion with glass rock, and a copper birdbath top

Like. Alot. Are the glass rock lit?

They are not. When I bought the pump, I didn't yet know what I wanted to do for the main feature, so I didn't get one with a light. I could fish a low-voltage line through and add one.

How would that glass look if you hit it with a laser?

A light right on top, where the water comes out might look cool.

Where did you get the Glass Rock? I've been looking on line, never seen it local.

I couldn't find it local either; one place that used to have it hasn't been able to get it for a while. I got it here: https://americanspecialtyglass.com/

What is the volume of the reservoir on that and how big is the pump?
