Hydrostatic drive lawn tractor !! Reminds me of my dad's early 70s Montgomery Ward "Garden Mark", "Ward's Best". That thing was built like a tank.

If it is going to be a fire pit, you could have just built up the stones and had a few good fires, and the stump would have burnt out without a drop of sweat!

But its all good. Others are exercising, running in circles or lifting iron, so look at it as a good workout!

Another garden path completed.

Had some leftover ceramic coating from a friend who did my boat, so I cleaned and ceramic coated my calipers and inner wheel barrels. Hoping it makes them easier to clean. Also did a full brake job front and rear, the fronts were triggering the wear sensors and the rears were about 30%. I went with Stoptech carbon ceramic pads and like them so far.

Your tractor is really cool. I almost purchased a restored Porsche Junior 109 tractor back in the 80s for $12k, but my wife asked where I was going to keep it, as we were already out of garage space.




We're currently looking at some properties that have acreage and either a large multi-car/RV garage/barn, etc., so it's a feasible idea now

Here's one of the things I've been working on the last few weeks. I got my brother's 1986 Alfa Romeo Spider Veloce with 66K miles running again. It had been sitting for at least 5 years before he bought it last Fall. The videos are my brother and niece on her first ride in the car. We have 4 kids between 20 and 13. It will be interesting to see if one of them ends up with it.

^ Thanks everyone for the compliments! I've always considered restoring a car a lot of work. I've always considered tractor projects like this cheap weekend projects. This one changed my perspective. Took a whole month working on it full time. After this, I really don't know if I'd have the energy these days to tackle a full car again. Anyway, took several more "glamour shots"-



For my last free day of 'covid-cation', I drove it to a big ol' field, thought of my dad, smiled, and fired up the deck.



Anyway, the LGT was flawless. She ain't so pretty now!!! (and I could have used that Porsche diesel!)

First garden tractor I have seen that had the correct "stance" and running big and little tires.

Helped a neighbor cut some branches (he probably would have taken out the lines otherwise. er). We had both called the power company to no avail. He then took down several trees which shaded a lot of my yard and gave him more kid space. Win-win.

Relocated the helper spring on the garage door. It was rubbing the entire length of the track with a horrible screech before. Added the auto lock bracket which were never installed. Clean and lubed every moving part. Buttery smooth now. Swept and blew out the garage dust with air and have a better game plan to organize everything now in a giant pile.

Moved and separated a bunch of plants to where they wanted to be. Gardening is an endless revolving door. The rhubarb will get a bit of shade mid-summer although it's still in the sun. Got several packs of Gladiolus bulbs at Aldi (25/$2!) and some Lilies to add some color to the back yard bare spots and at the rental.

Ok. I am humbled with the killer projects that you all have knocked out.

Here's where some of my time has gone. I bought some of the oldest, nastiest warped, nail-ridden white oak from the local recycling place. It was cheap, I said. Planed it flat with many router bits and table saw. Damn. Nails kill your tools!

Glued up. More sanding, planing, filling. Epoxy coat sanded to 400 grit with a paste wax finish. Legs from etsy.

I have to say, it turned out well. Mrs LWJ has been wanting a reclaimed wood table for a while. Problem? She wants perfection with imperfect materials. A challenge.

A favorite part? I featured a square nail on the top.

That table is cool. The square nail is a nice touch.

I've been lazy with pics but have consumed the last two weekends getting the boat ready for summer. In addition to the usual maintenance and cleaning I installed a more aggressive pitch prop for a better hole shot, and a Mente Marine automatic trim tab controller which seems to be a cool little gadget. Assuming it works correctly it will automatic adjust my trim tabs to compensate for the boat being unevenly loaded, rough water, acceleration, cruise, etc. Can't wait to try it!
