			Navigator and Escalade for this guy have both ended in warped rotors from hauling a boat. 
		
	
		
	
			
				Local old school FLAPS owner says get the racing rotors at Summit as he has sent a few customers that way. Any suggestions as to a type or brand that may withstand heat better?

			Surge brakes are the worst. Some though needs to look at the trailer brakes, adjustment and how much load is placed on the master cylinder pushrod. Thinking you can adjust that, if I remember correctly.

Yes, most have a pin you put in so you can back the trailer up your driveway and such without the brakes engaging.  Otherwise you are fighting the brakes when trying to park the trailer. 
		
	
		
	
			
			
		
		
		
		
		
			Most vehicles with the tow package are easy to put proper brakes on the trailer as well.

			Rotors warp with differential cooling. You need to cool them down before you park. I learned that with an Explorer (auto transmission) on the Grapevine. We stopped at a rest area 3/4 the way down. The rotors were hot and when we stopped, the brake pads prevented proper cooling. Had to pull into a brake shop in Bakersfield to get them turned.
