Who's Still out There Working? Worried at all?

I am in hospitals and imaging facilities every dang day.
Taking all the precautions we can, but still.

Aside from my work duties, I'm self isolating as much as possible.

Some DB in Safeway yesterday was less than 18" behind me in checkout.
I finally turned and said "Sir, please back away a bit." He leaned closer, as I leaned away more, and said "Huh?"
I repeated it and he rolled his eyes, sucked his teeth and backed up a tiny bit.

This guy was at least 60. What a dumbass. In that setting, based on my occupation, I was way more worried about him getting it from me, than getting it from him.

How many of you are still mixing it up with the masses?

Every day brother. Not in the capacity that you are though.. Going through lots of gloves, sanitizer, brake kleen, and bleach here. It is pretty slow and quiet, but oddly enough, work is still coming in . I am thankful that I can still work .
I've not been letting people in the building, drop off only , and other than getting some fuel, and groceries, and auto parts yesterday, I have been isolating for 2 weeks now.
Trying my hardest to not mix it up with the masses. ( no different than any other day really ) .
I am also somewhat surprised, but so far, all of my tenants have reached out to me, and are still paying .
We just had our first cv death here in our little town. I kind of thought we may be a little more isolated , and not be affected as much, but this is going to reach everywhere . Stay safe, and healthy everyone. !

I'm working. I'm surrounded by dumb MF'rs. The things I see are astounding. This guy 5 feet to my right, if he doesn't get sick, no one will. He sucks and chews on a tooth flosser all day. It's in and out of his mouth all day. It's in his hands. It's on his desk. It's back in his mouth. I watched him open three different doors and a gate that at least 100 truck drivers go through daily. I've never seen him go to wash his hands.

I work at a hospital. Don't know if this is the best place to be or the worst.
At least everyone here knows the rules and pretty much follows them.
I've never been on so many conference calls in my life.

As of this afternoon I am now officially unemployed.

So I'm going to look after my mum and do some stuff I've been putting off for a while around my house.

I'm still at work, but I suppose I'm fortunate that I don't have to work in a hospital. So it's mainly offices and a surgery center for me. Business is almost as busy as usual.

Other than work, the only places I'll go are for food (grocery store, restaurant take out, etc). I bought a string trimmer from Home Depot for yardwork, and I selected the free home delivery option instead of store pickup.

Since out office only has myself and my wife, we are still working in the office. The VPN is NOT working very well (Thanks NETGEAR).

I'm in the energy business. Oil & Gas spare parts, solar install & support and we own a small (3.2 MW) power station.

worried big time. i worry about people's hygiene practices. i am doing my due diligence, but i dont see a lot of others doing the same.

i wipe down my area daily and i deemed it a no-fly zone for others.

my wife is still working as well. she is a nurse..so yea. worried.

on the bright side..we are both still working.

yesterday at a big box store, i saw a family of four. young 20something parents, two young mobile kids. the kids were climbing the stored shopping carts like a jungle gym. i gave them a 25 foot buffer zone.

idiots. i would have sent one parent to the store and kept the kids at home. these are the healthy youth about to kill some elderly person.

Working from home and extremely busy. I'm in IT, so while it does create some problems, its pretty much business as usual.

My wife suggested that kids not be allowed in the store and only one adult at a time.

I'm still retired, but my wife is working a couple of days a week. She won't let me go anywhere mostly, and the only places I've been was Costco a week+ ago (during the seniors' hour), the grocery store once, and to check my mail box a couple of times. Although we live in a small (less than 2K residents) community lots of people work in the beehive, so I imagine getting the big V here is almost as likely as in the big city.

My part time retired job is a Deputy Coroner. Doing reports from home instead of the office, but still have to go on calls.

Any doubt; and it's tyvex suit, booties, mask and gloves. Testing most of our "clients" for the virus also.

You should have had a coughing fit.

Lost your job because of corona?
If so, that sucks, hopefully things will come around soon.

I am a site supervisor for the gubmint.
At home since last week Thursday. (Fully paid, luckily)
Going back on Monday, but I reckon it will be on and off, and work from home in between.
Tonight the Security Council will give a new update regarding lock down restrictions.
We expect the end of the lock down to be postponed for a number of weeks.

Pretty much the same as me. I pay for parts over the phone, they see me come to the door, they unlock it and put the parts on the ground outside.

I do get freaked about getting into someone's car to drive onto the lift. Maybe should open both doors for several minutes and let the breeze take some cooties away.

I work at a locomotive heavy repair shop. There are around 550 people employed here. It’s considered essential of course, rail transportation. I’m 64, had a kidney transplant 12 years ago and on immune suppression drugs ever since so high risk. Yeah I’m a bit worried.

I hope you are wiping their cars down. Maybe let them sit a few days also.

Corona, yes. The company I was working for (IT support) is suffering because most of their customers are hurting and have stopped paying their bills.

I'll be fine. I'm not that worried about it because I'm financially secure.

Good luck with everything.

You should get a pass.
Age, kidney patient on immune sup meds, like having a target on your back.
Stay safe man.
