Lockdown two weeks, 3 times thru the road blocks (code is "home depot") lost my construction job, county construction projects still working
Ill no , but my liver my give out soon, I was soo sick over the holidays that I believe I had it then..
No to the test....

I and my special lady friend Have to leave Kauai ( we moved to see if we wanted to live here and its not going to work for our lifestyle ) its been great learning experience ! She could not get a job in her field, so she worked at a coffee/breakfast shop. She lost her job, no tourists. I am non essential construction .....
Rent is 2300 + 300 for utilities ... will run out of cash soon... so we are trying to get out before the world stops, back to Utah for now... Plus side free place to stay, we both can work there too

I CAN THEN DRIVE MY PORSCHE its hiding in an undisclosed location in salt lake

My 83 year old father picked the worst time in history to hurt himself. He fell and broke his hip on March 20th, had hip replacement surgery on March 22nd, and was discharged to a rehab facility/nursing home on March 24th. On March 27th he had a fever and the rehab facility sent him back to the hospital to be checked out and then he came back to the facility later that night.

The facility he is at is all over the news as a hot spot and the National Guard was actually sent there today. I also learned this morning that he has tested positive for Covid-19 from a test administered on the 27th when he was back at the hospital. The good news is he has no symptoms. I am trying to guess when he was exposed and am thinking it had to be at least a few days before the test for it to come back positive. I am thinking the 25th.

Does anyone have an idea of how many days must pass after exposure before a test will come back positive?

Yep, was sick at the time of testing (returned from Dubai with a cold a couple of weeks ago). Aus CDC wanted us tested. Not sick now.

As ever, Sweden sticks out in its arrogance and naivity. We know better and so we need no stinking lockdown. Go about your business but keep your distance and stay home when feeling ill.
The Second Swedish Experiment. The First is our completely crazy immigration policy.

Sigh..

Tomorrow will be 14 days since I left work. Currently working from home. We have had 4 employees get Covid. They are all doing well with minor symptoms, however one of the guy's wives are on a ventilator and not doing well. She has Crohn's and other issues.

Praying for everyone. I really miss my grandkids, in fact our daughter had a little boy in the wee hours of this morning.

john walker's workshop 04-03-2020 12:02 PM

Hiding out up here in the woods. 3 months worth of TP and the wife and I are OK. Think I'll wear a mask to Freddy's the next food trip, along with nitrile gloves that I wear in the shop. Wipe, wipe, wipe.

stevej37 04-03-2020 03:00 PM

^^^ Think of the rest of us...two wipes should be sufficient. :)

I'm doing better. It's the weirdest thing I ever had. Food has no taste, one minute I'm chilled the next I'm sweating buckets. My balance is off and I'm really tired. My breathing is good and my cough is no worse than normal. My temp. can be 98.6 or it rises to maybe 102. I hit 105 Sat. night. I'm drinking lots of water and Gatorade.
I figure at least another week at home. All I can do is ride it out.

Thanks all for your concern.
Be careful everybody

The entire medical situation has become a sh't show.
I have no comment here.

Still Y N N

Although my daughter gave birth this past Friday morning. She tested NEG when she went in to the hospital and tested POS a day later. She's home and feels fine. She thinks she may have picked it up when she was still in the classroom teaching or in the OB docs waiting room.

Problem is she has a 3 year old that is really active and a newborn. Thankfully her husband is wonderful and does everything in the house.

Praying she is just a carrier or in the 80% that does not really get sick.

update

After 3 weeks I'm pretty much over it. I've had no fever for a week and I've been eating like a horse all week.I'm going to lay low for one more week just to be safe.
Thanks to all for the well wishes.
Be safe everybody

Not sick, don't know anyone sick, no need to get tested. We are hanging in the Sierra Nevada mountains at our remote mountain cabin. Beautiful up here and the opposite of lock down. Not afraid of getting the virus, just sick and tired of the craziness back in Napa
