Stay safe! Our storm season has been non-existent so far this year, knock on wood. Not even a good thunderstorm.

Back from the grocery store...alive . They were clearing the intersection of my 'hood...stop lights down from a big ol' tree....straight line winds were well over 50 mph. Nary a person at the intersection on my return, lights still out....they are probably very busy with others. Dodged the bullet !

We had a LOT of rain and wind last night with tornadoes around us but fortunately missed us . I heard on the news this morning at least 6 dead in Georgia .

I thought maybe if one passed close enough to get a half decent photo.

I've been fascinated with your Tornadoes since Twister. (Helen Hunt, Hubba Hubba

Tornadoes are a simple fact of life on Earth. The good news is they hit in very localized areas. The bad news is that they are devastating to that local area. At the National Weather Center, located in Norman, OK they have the true professional storm chasers, with some really impressive scientific equipment. They have a restaurant at the center called....

They have some of the props from the movie, and some of the real equipment that the movie equipment was based on. For any weather geek (guilty) it is a cool place to visit.

Ouch. Good news on family, though.

I did get wind pounded on the highway about 4:00PM here in Akron/Canton and from weather maps it was the back end of your storms.
