OK we can explain it slowly. The timing of re-opening should be based on what is happening and the logistics of each region. |
yup - also the degree to which hospitals can withstand a surge in case it really wasn't safe...

When will it be SAFE for govt re-open?
Oh wait... Have ANY govt workers been furloughed? This State (WA) has not stopped any State construction projects, yet they have shut down private construction projects. All of the State workers are supposedly what... working from home? None of these people lose their jobs while they 'work' on shutting down parks and businesses, 'work' on finding a way to make landlords provide free rent. |
Guess y’all have beef with your governors then.
Perhaps you could call them? Y’all did elect them. State level is actually close enough to do something about. Perhaps you could convince them to leave it up to each county? Noting is stopping your state from doing its own thing but accepting the risk of what the choice is. Up to those in the state to make the public’s wishes clear to your elected officials. No senior official is going to rush things unless they can say, hey y’all pushed to get open, so that’s what I did cause that’s what y’all told me you wanted. |
No, my governor wants the economy in shambles and people dependent on government. He both wants to create problems and blame them on the president. He is one of those that says we cannot possibly be let outside until there is a vaccine. He was elected by 3 of my state's 102 counties. He doesn't give a rat's ass about anyone outside of Cook County.

Sounds allot like Michigan. She is still blaming the feds.
https://www.freep.com/story/news/local/michigan/2020/04/19/whitmer-strict-coronavirus-measures-working/5161560002/ ""We could double or triple the number of tests we could be doing daily, if we had the swabs and reagents," Whitmer said. "It would be incredibly helpful if the federal government would use the Defense Production Act to start producing these swabs and reagants so we can improve testing." |
^^^ The tests are still scarce here, and the shortage of PPE to administer the tests are too. That seems to be the scenario everywhere, and what the fed can assist with. At least that's what everyone on the ground seems to be saying...I dunno.

I am runnng a food manufacturing company that has not slowed for the virus..... Facilities from east coast to west coast..... the country needs to re-open and embrace the realities of the current pandemic. SIP is an impossible reality that is stranding able bodied workers who have little probability of being impacted. We need to aggressively work to provide the proper guidance for protecting workers and keeping the vulnerable safe.
Easy for those drawing a salary speaking for those being idled..... |
Poor little thing. In three weeks total number of tests has gone up:
Michigan 25,686 to 109,661. More than 4 times as many Cali 26,257 to 280,900 More than 10 times as many Florida 43,316 to 256,079 Nearly 6 times as many. |
^^^^ Those #s are irrelavent if there is still a shortage of tests or the PPE to administer them at the local level. That's the situation here...but it's slowly improving....
I see that the fed is now getting the message....hopefully. But swabs aren't the only shortage. |
While sad for the suffering..... this virus is great business for the news media and dreadful for the population.....

Instead of pointing fingers and looking for a scapegoat she might want to take a different path. |
Yes, but this hype has ruined people's lives and I am confined to my home because of this hype.

That's still a serious problem imo. We're not a buncha "liberals" here...far from it....and need help from the fed. |
