Thanks for the nice comments. Here are a few more car and garage shots and some art shots - still just me in a hurry before rain with an ipone. Yes, the MGB swap is very simple. The PO actually installed it, but there is not much to it. The car was mechanically nice, but cosmetically awful. The garage is pretty sparse on the inside as I actually work on my cars and get it dirty. Its about 42' x 26'. Best feature are the Luxe garage doors and the side mounted lifters - nicer than I expected. Had to build a culvert across creek to get to this part of my property, so we are still working on landscaping.

Nice shop ! Love those garage doors, they let in so much light.
Great touches on the car the hood louvers, that racy swoop back headrest ( not sure what that is called ). Cool cutdown windshield, I like it all. Cool other projects in the shop too. I hope you will post up about those 911 projects as they come along too. Cheers Richard Last edited by tevake; 06-03-2020 at 02:47 PM.. |

I like everything about it. And particularly the paintwork.

Yeah, great color, neato fairing behind the driver's seat.
Why would the radiator crack at the first bump in the road?

And yes, I’ve had two crack. I’m not the only one I know of either. Ron Davis makes ones that are both prettier and less ... fragile. |

Terrific job on your MGA...it looks amazing!!
I'm a big fan of MGA's...I have 3. One is a rusty POS future project, One is my vintage race car ... It's a 1957 Sebring 12 hour class winner ![]() The third is my daily summer driver. It's rough on the outside, but mechanically sound...MGB motor with big flat top pistons, big valves, big SU's, lots of head work, Prather cam, header, 4 piston calipers up front, and lots of suspension upgrades. ![]() Are you still able to access your trunk, er, boot with that rear fairing? I friend of mine built a similar 'A and was able to independently hinge the fairing so you could still get in the trunk. |

No doubt this is a very good looking car. GLWS. The fin and LeMans gas filler are nice touches. I brought a red 1961 MGA roadster back from Morocco in 1960 and drove it for almost a year before selling it to help fund my return to college. After graduate school in 1966, I moved back to NJ and ran across a very nice red 1962 “MK II Competition” roadster for sale on a Chrysler dealer’s used car lot. I initially had no idea it was rare model when I bought it and I competed very successfully in times trials/gymkhanas for many years until a “project’ 1961 E-Type roadster replaced it. The 4-wheel Dunlop disk brakes from the XK150 Jaguar really stopped the car well and the pin-drive knock-off rims from the twin-cam were distinctive. I had the car repainted once and did some minor other work but the 1622 engine was always strong and reliable. I even found a twin-cam engine sitting in a regular MGA at a local junk yard and bought it, thinking I’d put it in my car. When the E-Type came along, I sold the TC engine and car separately. It will always be a classic…and desirable. Great memories of a great car!

Thank you so much for sharing! You're garage is top notch. I'm a big fan of the glass doors. and dig the 'high-bay'.

Cool little car! For anyone accustomed to the P-tax, as your garage indicates you are, I expect it was built for a relative song.

Beautiful piece of machinery in my favorite color. I like the idea of improving OEM....let the purists scream if they want, but its better now !
