MY 1960 MGA Restomod

Sharing one of my non-Porsche projects. Larger 1.8L MGB engine. Ford Sierra 5 speed. Lemans styling. Aluminum floors. 4 point harnesses. Lots of ideas thrown in. You don't see a lot of MGA's with the outlaw ethic, but they are easy to work on, and lots of good parts suppliers for relatively cheap!

Me Want !

Now, that REALLY appeals to my "need for speed", especially in cars a couple of generations old! Many years ago I had an MGA coupe for a few years and enjoyed the heck out of it! It was a junker compared to your car but still lots of fun to drive. If you ever decide to get rid of it, keep me in mind!

Whew that is so nice! I've always liked the A. Great lines.

Your touches just make it that much nicer, well done Chuck!

I also had one back in the day, drove it from Fla to Seattle Washington.

Cheers Richard

I really dig this thing. I have an MGB with a Rover V8 and it's comfortably in the space of favorite car to drive, and parts are basically free compared to an air-cooled 911.

Is it dumb to wonder how hard it might be to get a Rover V8 or GM V6 in one of these things...? What did the MGB engine take?

Frenched tail lights etc
Not nearly as nice as this one,.
but I Would have loved to take it home with me.

they'll get tired of the 4 point in a hurry. nice car otherwise.
also be ready for the radiator to crack over the first decent bump.

Great car(s)! Can you show us more of that new garage?! It looks almost as good as the cars. What are the specs?

Thanks for posting, Chuck.

I recall that the 1.8 swap was a popular one for the A.

My late wife had a B for many years; great memories.

Didn't spare any tire tread. And I think a better camera lens would really do that car some justice. Somehow it's even nicer than it looks.
