A friend of mine has a glowforge, and it is pretty cool. I just wish it could cut metals.
This seems neat. However: a) the 12x18" sheet size seems smallish b) it's slooow c) looks like it uses a whole lot of abrasive media.

A couple million years ago, I remember 3D printers being all high tech and expensive My daughter's friend bought one for fun. He is enlisted in the army- so not rolling in the bucks. Water jet seems next. |

https://www.protomax.com/ - ($24k) Omax has been the innovator IMO. Although more so in the big mfg space. And dad, on lasers, you need really good ventilation. After all, you are 'smoking' what ever you are cutting.
